As a young man I had the privlege of witnessing many people practice the art of selling. Some of those people were in environments that were less than friendly. I watched street hustlers ply their trade in Times Square, New York with a zeal that I have rarely seen anywhere in the corporate workplace. I witnessed time after time as they hustled unsuspecting tourists out of their money. These guys would get run off by the police but would always return to larger crowds of spectators.
They would sell their game, called Three Card Monte, hard and people responded even though most knew it was a hustle. The men on those street corners knew what all of us should practice. If you have a dream, idea or business concept you must SELL SELL SELL in order to have a chance at making it happen. Your ability to sell will make the difference between working for someone else and working for yourself. It will make the difference between just talking about your business goals and being able to make them happen. No matter what you do to make a living, sales is a very important part of it.
This lesson will teach you the importance of selling no matter what you call your chosen profession. You’ll learn techniques to improve your sales skills. And most of all, you’ll feel more confident about practicing your sales skills in order to pave the way to your own success. more…
