Feel Better About Yourself With The Help Of A Roaring Fire

A positive self esteem is more than just having a good view of yourself. To enjoy your life fully, you must learn to be content. In order to do that, it can mean facing your self doubt. Self doubt are those beliefs we all carry within, which cause us to feel we are less then good enough. In order to a journey of self improvement, one must work on eliminating those core limiting beliefs that makes us feel bad about ourselves so that we can become the person we were meant to be.

Elemental rituals, such as those of fire, have been used for centuries by a wide range of cultures to dispell the negative forces in our life. This method of getting past those negative beliefs and past fears is still being used all over the world today. Fire rituals can be used to help you as well. You might want to put forth the effort in order to see results, but you will be very thankful that you did it. This ritual will be helped along by the presence of a outdoor firepit.

Start with a part of your life that you don’t feel totally adequate about. It could be nearly anything, from money to your love life. Focusing on one area, start writing down what your feelings about yourself are in that area - like “I am a total failure at my job” or “No one love me because I’m not worth of being loved.” Now that you have admitted those feelings, it is time to push them from you. Head outside and get a fire going in your fire pit. Once the fire is burning, take that list of negative opinions about yourself that you’ve written and throw it into those flames. Concentrate on releasing these feelings of negativity from your life.

While most people usually think of fire as a source of destruction, it also has the ability to be a real source of beauty as well. We light candles to set the mood, we sit by our fire pits to enjoy a chilly evening and we roast marshmallows over an open flame to get in the camping mood. The way you can use your fire pit to recognize your beauty is simple. Take a journal and pen and find a comfortable place in front of the fire. Breathe slowly as you watch the flames as they dance before you in an array of colors. Let it inspire you to write a list in your journal about all the positive attributes about you. Be sure to look at that list on a regular basis, even adding to it as time goes on, to reinforce your sense of self esteem.
